Camping Adventure
Day 1
5:10pm - Finally got the tent set up and am currently inside and it's BRUTAL with the humidity. The tent took a while to set up but then again it was the first time actually setting it up in years. I hope the temperature goes down witht he humidity or else sleepinging is going to suck! Went to a small railway museum which was nice, it's too bad they don't run the train there anymore just those stupid peddle / electric carts.
9:44pm - Goddamn was it hot and humid today, but overall still felt like a productive day. I went too one of the firetowers to get a nice view then went to the nearby town to get dinner and walk around a bit. I drank so much water today, tomorrow will be way worse but hopefully if I go to sleep early I'll get up early and start the hike before the heat really kicks in. But all in all today was a good day hope I can actually fall asleep.
Day 2
7:32am - First night camping in a tent in well over a decade and it was like a furnace, no air flow and probably took me 2 hours to actually fall asleep. Getting that cot was a great devision though.
8:11am - Time to start my 3 peak hike, I need all the help I can get especially with the heat they said was gonna be today and tomorrow. But lets do this!!!
9:09am 1st mile 49:21 min - The first mile was brutal, just a steep incline with lots of rocks and bugs. There has been no breeze yet and it feels like a sauna under the tree canopy. Right as I say there was no breeze it just happened. Talk about god answering my plee. Welp lets see how the next mile is.
10:05am 2nd mile 1:51:17 min - I'm about halfway too the first peak and goddamn is this hard, I don't know if I can do the whole thing. It's probably in the high 90's right now with who knows how high humidity. Saw some nice sights like a small waterfall and a slightly covered view. This fucking heat. I hope it gets cooler the higher I go.
10:56am 3rd mile 2:42:14 minNot too bad, good breeze and it's getting slightly cooler, just wish the bugs would fuck off.
12:19pm 4th mile - This last mile broke me. If having to rock scramble some parts wasn't bad enough the ground is really wet up here and all the rocks are slippery as hell, nearly fell a few times thank god I brought my poles. This took so much energy out of me I was just sucking down water. There is no way in hell I could possibly do all three peaks. I just checked my water and there's only 1/3 left, I filled it with 3 liters! And I doing this in a heatwave where I swear to god it feels like triple digits. I have to get the fuck off this mountain before it kills me.
(Written after I made it down)
The 5th mile was easier going down but it was still a rock scramble and sucked. I was still going faster than I should have but the fear of running out of water far exceeded me being safe.
The 6th mile was a bit smoother after getting away from the steep rocks but still low on water and not stopping for breaks didn't help the situation.
Around the 7th mile I ran out of water. I could actually feel my fight of flight kick in, I had to do everything in my power to get off this mountain. My right knee started hurting probably from all the drops I did the last two miles which didn't help. I haven't passed a stream to try and cool myself off with, fuck.
At the 8th mile I knew the end was almost there but my body felt like it was giving out. I NEEDED something to drink BADLY, I just had to keep going, just don't stop. Then I heard it, the creek I had to cross to start this nightmare. It was like sweet music to my ears, when I finally crossed it I sent straight down there and just dunked my whole head in the nice cool water. I know this'll sound disgusting but I also drank the water. I needed it! And it felt and tasted like god personally served it too me. After all that I had another 1/2 mile to walk back to my campsite which felt like hell. When I finally got there I downed a whole RC Cola. Pure bliss. Then drove over to the showers to clean myself and check for ticks, thankfully there were no ticks and that felt like the best shower I had in years
Then I went back to my tent to lay down and get off my feet which lasted maybe about 20 or 30 minutes before the heat was too unbearable again. The whole hike was 8 miles, 6 hours and 27 minutes with a total elevation gain of 2,549 ft.
I didn't eat once the entire day, I know it was a VERY stupid thing to do but I wanted to beat the heat, but it beat me the fuck up. So I went and got myself a pizza cause I deserved it, I ate a whole personal pizza in what felt like 3 minutes. Then I went to a few stores to gets some stuff then got myself an ice cream cause I'm pretty sure the calories won't matter with how much I burnt today. It was around 6pm with 2 hours of sunlight left so I decided to try and get a little fishing in. I got nothing, not even a nibble in an hour and at two different spots, so decided to stack some rocks and then drive over to one of the towns with actual service to let people know I didn't die today.
10:32pm - I hope I can actually fall asleep easily tonight after everything today.
Day 3
8:03am - My whole body is sore but thankfully I slept pretty good last night, I think the temp dropped down to the high 60's which is very comfortable. I don't know what I'm gonna do today, would love to try fishing again but it's supposed to be hotter today than yesterday so maybe later on but for now I'll just go get some breakfast.
5:55pm - After breakfast I drove around for an hour and saw a cool church and stopped by a pond
Then tried again to fish but yet again spent two hours trying and nothing. But I did stack more rocks.
By then it was about midday and hot as hell so I just decided to go swimming. When I got to the spot on the river no one was there which was nice so I just got to relax in the mid 60° water for probably about an hour before two other people showed up but they were trying to fish, they didn't have any luck eaither. Stacked more rocks and was just relaxing in the water for about 4 hours before a large group of people came and I decided to leave.
Then I went back to my campsite to relax for a bit and took an hour nap.
10:38pm - Went to a place and got a nice burger and ice cream afterwards. Then drove over to a reservoir and saw the fountain. Tried to get some pictures of the reservior but there wasn't anywhere to park so I took ones while driving were all blurry. The cot that I bought for this trip turned out to be a piece of crap, two of the brackets broke. They used plastic in the joints, like what the fuck that's the weakest part. I got such a bad sunburn today on my back and arms it really sucks trying to sleep. The people in the next site over are playing country music, playing some Marty Robbins, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jenning. So nice but at the same time I'm trying to sleep over here.
Day 4
Nothing really much to say about today, it was just me packing up and going home. I enjoyed my time even if the weather tried to kill me. I hope that I can do another camping trip soon and maybe go with some friends.
June 21st, 2025
Just a small post this time. I'm going to be going on hiking trip and decided to keep a small journal to jot down interesting things, thoughts about the hike and so forth. I'll be taking pictures and probably setup a new section to put them all in.

I have now added links to my recorded playthroughs in the game review page. Just a little info about the videos, they are full playthroughs of me getting all the achievements of the game I'm playing (for the most part). The videos do not contain any commentary cause I don't understand how anyone can just continuously comment on the game they are playing, so if that's your kinda thing well there's plenty of content but I know that that isn't everyone's cup of tea. Honestly the videos are more of a log of me playing them like the rest of my site so watch them or don't it's up too you.

Just worked for almost two weeks straight and finally feel like I have free time again. With my work season coming to an end I had to set something up with working at my old job for a few weeks then I'll have to go back on unemployment till work picks back up, can't wait to see how bad unemployment is now. Also finally got around to finishing up adding all my movies that I've watched into the movie section. 647 movies... Took almost 2 weeks to get it done. Atleast the paycheck will be a nice amount compared too the usual. Next I'm probably gonna start adding my movie reviews, only have to do about 300 of them...

I'm finally getting around to making a blog. So this is a best spot if any to explain this place better. Well anyway as my homepage says this is my little place where I'm containing all my ratings for movies, games, music etc. I have been using websites like rateyourmusic, letterboxd, backloggd and even spreadsheets to catalog my ratings and I've always found it annoying to go to different sites to rate stuff and wished there was one site I could use. I know a real pipedream, but I just decided fuck it I'll do it myself. (insert a lot of struggling and hours of trial and error) And here we are. My future plans for this place is to get my movie ratings up and maybe my movie reviews but that's gonna be a lot of work and don't expect a in depth deconstruction of the movie I just make either dumb edits or shitposts. Also get my book and shows ratings along with a gallery of pictures I take when I go on hikes. And maybe try and get a guestbook, it seems pretty cool but it's not a high priority. I think that about sums it up so far, catch you whenever I make my next post.
